Breathe Optimally
- 8 week course
- Limited to 6 participants per group. Daytime and evening options available. The first group to fill will commence first
- Daytime option: Wednesdays 10:30–11:30am
- Evening option: Wednesdays 5:45–6:45pm
Learn to breathe with greater ease, awareness and capacity through a combination of movement and postures (with adaptations to suit you), natural breath practices, without complexity and simple sound techniques
This course explores:
• improving breathing patterns and breath awareness
• accessing fuller lung capacity
• yoga postures to support different areas of the breath
• hand gestures (mudras) and sound practices to assist breathing and focus
• nervous system regulation and relaxation
• developing greater mind/body connection
• breath awareness for stress, tension and respiratory health support
Suitable for people with respiratory conditions and those wanting to deepen their understanding of breath and its impact on wellbeing
This is not a high-intensity breath-work class, but a progressive and supportive course focused on building healthy and sustainable breathing patterns through age old, directed techniques. A great prerequisite before you explore more advanced pranayama practices or just to improve your respiratory function
Introduction to Yoga
- 8 week course
- Tuesdays 7:00 – 8:00pm
- Limited to 6 participants per group and will commence when 6 participants are enrolled
A supportive small-group course designed to introduce the foundations of yoga in a progressive and accessible way.
Learn the basics of yoga practice, including background, history and etiquette, with guided support and individual adaptations throughout the course.
Over the 8 weeks we explore:
• standing, seated and balance postures
• gentle backbends and hip-opening practices
• Sun Salutations and foundational flow sequences
• posture alignment and safe progression
• breath awareness and relaxation techniques
• introduction to meditation practices
• yoga philosophy and traditional foundations
• progressing toward more advanced postures at your own pace and capacity
This course aims to give you the confidence, understanding and practical skills to comfortably attend future yoga classes, while developing a sustainable and enjoyable personal practice
Suitable for complete beginners, those returning to yoga, or anyone who enjoys a workshop-style approach to learning and understanding yoga more deeply
